About Me

I am a born and raised Texan. My adventure began when my boyfriend the love of my life got an unexpected job offer in a small town in the Midwest. Currently, I pursue a life of domestic bliss: cooking, baking, and cleaning. Most importantly, I’m a stay at home mother (to two cats). My life, like my blog’s name, is a paradox. While being a housewife is a conventional occupation, being unmarried and childless makes my occupation rather unconventional. My life’s unusual, but I’ve found a lot of joy in it, especially in the kitchen.

Eating a home cooked meal is pure bliss. Even better is sharing delicious food I’ve prepared with the people I love most. Luckily, my sweetheart shares my passion for food! It only made sense to share my recipes and cooking insights with you. I provide quality recipes so you can make great food at home.

Whether you’re new to cooking or an expert, I want to brighten your life with recipes. Message me with any questions or comments or send me an email at unwedhousewifeblog@gmail.com.

  3. Hi! Thanks for the comment on my veg lasagna recipe πŸ™‚ It brought me to this page and I’ve learned our lives are quite similar! I also moved with my boyfriend to a new city (to Singapore from London) and now I’m living here as an unconventional ‘housewife’ πŸ™‚

Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

    1. We ARE in similar circumstances, how funny! I’ve never been to Singapore. What is it like living there? Do you miss London? I’ll follow your blog so I don’t miss a post. Thanks so much for stopping by!

      1. It’s actually really great living here, there are loads of expats so it’s easy to fit in and the city has something like 90 malls so.. πŸ˜‰ And I’m enjoying the weather a lot more than I did in London!! I’ve only been here since early Dec but haven’t missed London yet. Just enjoying settling into the new lifestyle here and finding fun things to do πŸ™‚ I hope you’re also enjoying your new city!? Thanks for the follow!

      1. I transplanted oodles of years ago. I still find the pace faster than the Midwest. The biggest adjustment was the time change. Everything was an hour later in the evening!

  5. I love discovering new food blogs! Ironically I hardly ever cook (yes yes I am an Indian girl who can’t cook. All sorts of stereotypes being smashed to smithereens here :P). But I live in the fond hope that someday I will be a whiz in the kitchen πŸ˜€ Thank you for sharing your insights with us πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you for stopping by! (I like take-out food every once in a while, too!) I’m half Irish and my dream is to visit Dublin. What’s it like living there? Have you ever traveled to the U.S.?

    1. Thank you, Lynne! How sweet of you to select me. I’m truly honored. I am swamped in trying to switch to self-hosting, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to officially accept by answering the questions, but it really means a lot that you selected me! πŸ™‚
